Today for science my group and I had tested acids and bases. Today's task was to use red and blue litmus paper. To test each colour whether its acid or bases. We dipped the litmus paper into cleaning products and we were testing to see if the blue would turn into red and if the red would turn into blue majority of the cleaning products were acid and only like 3 or 4 of them were bases after we finished testing out acid and bases we had to write down the method on how to do each step
Today my group and I went to science at Tamaki. The first thing we did was write down on our computers / books, "Topic 5 Flower Power". The next thing we did was write down some of the things she put up on the board about flowers and what did we first realize when we saw the flower. When we were done that, our science teacher Mrs. Sharna gave out hibiscus flowers to everyone to do an experiment with it. After that we watched a video on how to open the flower up and pull the top part of the stigma out. For some students it was a struggle, but eventually everybody got it. From that moment forward we pulled some of the anther off the hibiscus flower and we put it onto an science glass and mashed it up then put it under an microscope to see what we could find. Other than that it was really fun.
Today at tamaki college on tuesday 1st of june, as soon as we got to Tamaki we went straight to science class since the science teacher was gone we had a reliever and her name was Mrs. Wong she taught us a few things, one of them was about using measuring cylinder and we had to make 100m with the measuring cylinder which only has 50m on each so once we filled it up to 50m we put it in a cup then we had to do it again to make 100m, then we had to write down some of the equipments with pictures on the side of it then at the end we had a little game called brain gym then we ended the session and went back to school.
